Who We Are

Aayatiin Development Foundation (ADF)

is a non-governmental, non-profit and nonpartisan organization formed in 12th June 2017 to spearhead community development and capacity building in the Sool, Sanaag, Buhodle and Togdeer regions of Somaliland.
The organization mandate and core activities are geared towards improving the health of the families through provision of child-friendly health services, supporting interventions to reduce maternal, infant and child mortality, and building the capacity of local public health facilities through training of health care providers and provision MCH equipment and diagnostics kits.

ADF is dedicated to building the capacity of Maternal and Child Care providers for the delivery of sustainable high quality coordinated maternal and child health care in both the rural and urban communities of Somaliland.

To successfully collaborate in design and implement sustainable interventions to reduce maternal, infant and child mortality in the nomadic communities of Somaliland.

The main objective of the foundation is to improve the living conditions and quality of life for the communities living in the four regions of Sool, Togdeer, Sanaag and Buhodle by;

  • To promote the basic health care services
  • To promote WASH initiatives.
  • Reconstruction of basic social amenities.
  • To aid in emergency relief and disaster management.
  • To improve the living standards of Somali women through education and work.
  • To improve the quality of life for disabled people.
  • To eradicate FGM in Somali society.

Our Organization Structure

ADF is run through a 5 member Executive Management board headed by executive Chairman. The executive management board is tasked with the overall direction, effectiveness, and accountability of the organization operations.
